Employees work hard – and they deserve recognition. That means events like the Workers' Compensation Board's Long-Service Awards have to be extra special. As event planners for this annual event, this was our job. We relished the challenge.
Making these events outstanding started with making them look outstanding. We went for the wow! factor – on a wow-that's-so-affordable budget. Over the years that included everything from the e-invitation, to the giant disco ball, to the magician, to the dancers playing John Travolta and his dance partner from Saturday Night Fever. To the food – buffet and sit down depending on the year. To the entertainment – laughter and letting loose on the dance floor.
And most importantly, to the awards. This was the highlight of the evening when employees stood up to the applause – and the gratitude – of their colleagues.
These were a night to remember.
